Shofu Hy-Bond Zinc Phosphate Cement is a trusted, traditional luting cement formulated for cementation of cast restorations and orthodontic appliances. It is uniquely designed with the proprietary Hy-Agent, which helps neutralize the harshness of phosphoric acid, allowing safe application even on freshly cut dentin without causing pulpal irritation.

With high compressive strength, excellent handling properties, and minimized solubility in oral fluids, Hy-Bond ensures durable cementation while reducing postoperative sensitivity.

• Working Time: Cementation – 3 minutes | Lining – 2.5 minutes

Directions for Use

1. Dispensing Powder and Liquid

• For Cementation: Powder/Liquid ratio 1.7 g / 1.0 g
• Dispense one level scoop of powder and four drops of liquid separately
• For Lining: Powder/Liquid ratio 2.3 g / 1.0 g
• Dispense one level scoop of powder and three drops of liquid separately

2. Mixing

• Dispense powder and liquid onto a thick glass slab
• Divide the powder into two equal portions
• Incorporate the first half into the liquid using a stainless steel spatula
• Add the remaining powder and mix until a homogeneous paste is achieved
• Mixing temperature: 23 ± 1°C (73.4 ± 1.8°F)
• Mixing time: 30–40 seconds

3. Cementation / Lining

• Proceed with cementation or lining using conventional clinical techniques
