Shofu GlasIonomer FX ULTRA is a truly self-adhesive, bulk-fill glass ionomer restorative designed to outperform conventional restoratives in its class. Its unique advanced formulation delivers superior aesthetics, enhanced translucency, lasting caries resistance, and long-term stability.

With high initial reactivity and a rapid maturation process, GlasIonomer FX ULTRA virtually equalizes the refractive indices of the glass core and matrix. This results in a remarkably strong, stable, translucent, and fluoride-rich restoration suitable for a wide range of clinical applications.

Directions for Use

A. Filling Procedure

• Cleaning of tooth surface: Thoroughly clean the tooth surface to remove plaque and surface stains.
• Shade selection: Select the shade most suitable for the patient.
• Cavity preparation: Prepare the cavity following standard clinical procedures.
• Isolation: Use a rubber dam or appropriate isolation technique.
• Pulp protection: In cases of pulp exposure or deep cavities close to the pulp, cap with calcium hydroxide or suitable material.
• Dispensing powder and liquid: Dispense 1 scoop of powder and 1 drop of liquid separately. Standard powder-to-liquid ratio is 2.7 g : 1.0 g. Gently shake the powder bottle before dispensing and level the scoop for accuracy. Invert the liquid bottle to dispense bubble-free drops. Remove any liquid blockage from the nozzle and tightly close all caps immediately after use to prevent moisture contamination.
• Mixing: Divide the powder into two equal portions. Mix the first portion with the liquid for approximately 10 seconds. Add the remaining powder and mix thoroughly for an additional 20–35 seconds.
