Shofu Zirconomer Improved is a reinforced glass ionomer cement with special zirconia fillers, combining the strength and durability of silver amalgam with the protective benefits of glass ionomer, while eliminating the hazards of mercury. It offers sustained fluoride release for anti-cariogenic benefits and is ideal for high-risk patients, structural core build-ups, and minimally invasive procedures.

This cement is packable and condensable like amalgam, with exceptional edge strength, marginal adaptation, translucency, and resistance to abrasion and erosion. It chemically bonds to enamel and dentin, exhibits tooth-like thermal expansion, and is suitable for a wide range of restorative applications including Class I & II restorations, sandwich technique bases, core build-ups, root surfaces under overdentures, long-term temporary restorations, and ART techniques.

Indications:

• Class I and II cavities in deciduous teeth
• Class I and II restorations in selected permanent teeth
• Repair of fractured amalgam restorations or fractured teeth
• Core build-up and structural bases for restorations
• Repair of crown margins
• Any restoration where radiopacity is required
