Zhermack Acrytemp Temporary Crown Material A2 C700200

Acrytemp is a bisacrylic self-curing resin for the fast preparation of provisional elements in the dental practice. It is practical to use, thanks to the self-mixing system, easy to trim and polish, with a high fracture resistance. Its particular formulation is without methyl methacrylate monomer and allows to maintain low temperatures during the setting reaction that does not irritate the pulp. Acrytemp is available in 5 shades and offers a natural aesthetic effect that reproduces the colour of teeth, to meet the needs of the patients and of the dentist. The temporary prosthesis has a dual purpose, functional and aesthetic, and is also the patients first experience of the future permanent prosthesis. For this reason it is important to realize it in the best way possible, with materials that give excellent resistance, which can be easily modified during the period of therapy, and with reasonable costs.

  • Easy to finish and polish
  • Automix application ( mixing ratio 4:1 )
  • High precision

Key Specifications :-

  • Mixing ratio (Base/Catalyst) – 4:1 (automix)
  • Compressive strength after 24 hours – 250 MPa
  • Flexural strength after 24 hours  – 65 MPa
  • 00:00 – 00:50 min – Application in mouth
  • 00:50 – 03:00 min – Setting in mouth (1-2 minutes)
  • 03:00 – 04:30 min – Completion of setting* (at 50 °C)
  • From 04:30 min – Trimming / polishing

Packaging:-

  • 1 x 50 ml (76 g) Cartridge
  • 1 x 15 Mixing tips 4:1

Direction to Use:-

  • The cartridge system permits optimum bubble-free mixing, enabling the product to be applied directly on the impression (direct method) or the mask (indirect method).
  • Before preparation of the stumps, take an impression in silicon or alginate. Use a cutter (such as Putty Cut) to remove areas between teeth and squared off bases to facilitate positioning of the impression in the mouth.
  • Pull the rack on the dispenser back to the start of its travel using the black lever located underneath it. Raise the cartridge block. Put the cartridge in the correct position in the dispenser (the mixing ratio is 4:1). If it is inserted correctly, the cartridge block will close without difficulty. Remove the coloured lid. Gently extrude a very small amount of product to obtain precise flow control until the two components flow out together evenly. Insert the mixer tip, following the V-shaped notch on the coloured ring nut, which must correspond with the appropriate housing on the cartridge. The device is now ready for use.
  • Exert gentle pressure on the dispenser lever to apply Acrytemp in the previously prepared, clean and dry impression.
  • Position the mixing tip in the deepest part of the impression, leaving it immersed in the material to prevent bubble formation.
  • The impression, used as a tray full of Acrytemp, is then repositioned correctly in the mouth or on the model. After 1-2 minutes at 35°C (95°F) (in the mouth) or 3-4 minutes at a room temperature of 23°C (73.5°F) (on a model) from the start of application, Acrytemp in the elastic phase can be removed without difficulty.
  • Once the temp has been removed from the impression or preparation, eliminate excess material and any squared-off bases. It is best to complete polymerisation by immersing the item in hot water at a temperature of 45°- 55°C (113- 131°F); if this is not possible, wait until 6 minutes have passed since the start of application and then finish using specific rotating tools or very fine abrasives.
  • A eugenol-free cement should preferably be used to cement the temp.
