Articulating paper is commonly used by the dental community to identify contact points between the maxillary and mandibular teeth during all forms of natural tooth occlusal adjustments and dental prosthesis insertions. Areas that need to be reduced will be identified by darker markings on the restoration.
Q. What is the difference between red and blue articulating paper?
A. Blue appears to be the most common colour used. Red is useful on highly polished surfaces gold or composite resin. Papers are available with different coloured surfaces so that one arch is marked in red and the opposing arch is marked in blue.
